I myself assumed responsibility as a member of the Executive Board of an association with around 40 employees, which was in the midst of a difficult restructuring phase. A first wave of layoffs had previously affected younger employees in particular based on the social criteria. We now repeatedly lacked their know-how and capacity for various project tasks. Therefore, when I was looking for qualified external support, I realized that there were virtually no service providers and consultants specializing in associations….
Thus the idea for Verbandplus was born: But it still took some time until the implementation followed. When I did not agree on strategic issues with my supervisory board at a later stage, the dismissal and foundation of Verbandplus followed.
